Biosun was founded in 1996 as a specialized distributor for Quest International, a globally based, major flavor house based in Naarden, Holland and Hoffman Estates, IL. For more than ten years the partnership between Biosun and Quest strengthened to the point that in 2004 Biosun became the exclusive U.S. distributor for Quest to handle their smaller-sized customers and those that may present complex service issues.

In March 2007, Quest was acquired by the Givaudan Corporation. With corporate headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, Givaudan is one of the world's largest flavor houses. On March 1, 2008, Biosun was appointed by Givaudan to be a select distributor for their line of flavors in the beverage, sweet and dairy industries. Having access to one of the largest global flavor libraries provides obvious benefits to our customers who might otherwise not be able to acquire these flavors at a competitive price or with the quality service they desire.

In addition to our responsibilities as a Givaudan select distributor, Biosun is a custom blender/manufacturer of enzymes with an emphasis in the fruit processing industry. Combining key raw ingredients from prestigious enzyme manufacturers with our own contracted enzyme production raw materials, we can supply fruit and meat processors and baking companies with unique, highly functional and cost-effective enzyme formulations to meet their specialized needs. Flexibility is our forte! We provide our liquid products in 1, 5 or 55 gallon drums. We can supply dry products from 20 gram pouches to 100 pound drums. Heat-sealed foil pouches are available in the smaller sizes to allow for better portion control and to avoid spills and excess measuring of these products at your facility. We also maintain key, global processing partners to market our Biosun-brand of Natural Colors while distributing the high-quality and diversified Noveon, Artificial Colors to the U.S. market. We also provide other specialized ingredients, including emulsifiers and yeast extracts, to the food industry in the U.S. and select offshore locations.
